Meet Instagram's Hunkiest "Swolemates": Nick & Justin

Meet swolemates Justin Moore (L) and Nick Grant (R), Instagram's latest trending hotties who are more or less the reason the flashing light emoji was invented (police-cars-revolving-light).

Nick, a former gymnast who trained at the Olympic Training Center before competing collegiately, is currently in graduate school for nurse anesthesia.

Justin recently completed graduate school at University of Pittsburgh for environmental and energy planning and is now working for local government promoting sustainable architectural design and environmental awareness.

We tracked down the duo for a little 2-on-1 to get better acquainted.

How did you two first meet?

Nick: Justin is the type of person who always goes out of his way to make someone feel welcomed, and he was instantly introducing himself to me without hesitation. His eyes in particular just made me feel appreciated; it felt like he was completely connected with me and I just wanted to get to know him more. After that, he asked me out for coffee just to introduce me to Pittsburgh.

Justin: For me, I knew I truly wanted to be with this guy when he allowed me to talk about bioswales (a landscape design) at a local park. Anyone who can put up with hearing me ramble about something like that for 30 minutes is someone special.

Nick: For me, it was that Justin didn't care about my deep love of Harry Potter. I didn't have to hold back and I could just be myself around him without being judged.

What do your friends and family think of your more salacious pics?

Nick: My mom called and said she'd heard there's some risque pictures of us on Instagram and asked 'You're not naked, are you?' to which I explained that there was no real nudity.

Justin: My little brother is a professional body builder, and has for the last two years basically posted pictures of him wearing close to nothing, so at this point my mom was just like 'Oh well, I don't even care."

Can you recall some of your thirstiest comments?

Justin: We've been asked by this one fellow probably 80 times if he could come down to Pittsburgh from somewhere in Canada and have a threesome with us. Or watch while we have sex. It's been a whole bunch of stuff along that line. We were also asked if we would be willing to swing with another couple. We told him we were monogamous and he asked if that meant we could still have sex with a third person [Laughs].

Nick: On the flip side, we have gotten messages saying that we're propagating the gay stereotype. Look, this just started out as a scrapbook for us as a couple and we're just having fun. We're not representing anyone but ourselves.

Would you two ever pose nude?

Justin: Nope. Definitely not. Not that we're uncomfortable with our bodies. We had a discussion early on about what we both feel comfortable with once this started to take off and we both decided that nudity is not in the cards for us. We need to leave a little something to the imagination.

Who are some of your favorite people to follow on Instagram?

Nick: Katya from the current season of Drag Race for sure because we are fully #TeamKatya and Laverne Cox, a true inspiration and a wonderful human being.

Justin: Also any urban planning, design and architecture accounts, especially Manscapers and the U.S. Department of the Interior.

Speaking of Drag Race, if you were to invite one of the queens into bed with you, who would it be?

Justin: This one's a tough one. We do know Katya won meatiest tuck [Laughs]... but we'd probably go with Pearl.

What's the secret to getting a body like both of yours–if there is one?

Nick: We cycle between chest, arms, back, and legs, then we have at least one day of active recovery by going to the park, biking or playing racquetball.

Justin: Our favorite day is Back Day and we try to make it full body.

  • Front Squats (3 sets x 10 reps)
  • Do you guys think you look alike?

Nick: We never thought that until people on Instagram started commenting on the "twincest." Then we looked at each other and thought, well we both have facial hair, and we do have similar bodies, so it's not a totally absurd claim.

What are your summer excursion plans?

Nick: It's tough being in school, but we are heading on a smaller trip to Maine this summer for a cousin's wedding. We're also attending our first NYC Pride. We are already gearing up for no sleep.

Justin: Last on our list for the summer, we definitely want to go camping and hiking in Yosemite National Park! The outdoors have been a major part of our lives and we also need to get in touch with our inner lumbersexual.

What's one thing that the other does that drives you nuts?

Nick: The one thing that drives me nuts is Justin leaves teh toilet seat up all the time. I've almost dropped my towel in the toilet on several occasions because I'm really clumsy. He blames it on the gremlins.

Justin: I just want to throw it out there that it annoys me that he puts the toilet seat down. Who drops their towel in the toilet?
