Jimmy Kimmel Asks A Bunch Of Kids What They Think About Marriage Equality

In the wake of Friday's historic SCOTUS ruling, Jimmy Kimmel addressed one of the biggest 'concerns' from marriage equality opponents: Kids. Specifically, whether or not they're sophisticated enough to wrap their hands around the idea.

That's when Kimmel dispatched staff writer/comedian Bridger Winegar to the streets to interview random kids about gay marriage–and marriage in general. Not surprisingly, their answers were hilarious.

Q: "Do you know what makes someone gay?"

A: "Yeah, I got a broken leg."


Time is of the essence

Q: "When should two people get married?"

A: "In the afternoon."


Future Fortune 500 CEO

Q: "What is gay marriage?"

A: "When a boy and a boy get married, and a girl and a girl get married."

Q: "Do you think that's hard to understand?"

A: "For some kids."

Q: "Is it for you?"

A: "No, not really."

Q: "Should anyone be allowed to get married."

A: "If you're old enough."

Q: "When do you want to get married?"

A: "When I'm 30."


Reality Bites

Q: "Why would someone want to get married?"

A: "'Cause they're pregnant."


The Cynic

Q: "Would you want to get married?"

A: "Not really."

Q: "How come?"

A: "Because when you get married, the other person is entitled to any money you have."
