French Acrobat Strips To Take A Bath, Cause A Stir, On "Britain's Got Talent"

Someone needs to get him out of those wet jeans...

Britain's Got Talent continues to deliver the goods: On Saturday, the show featured a shirtless French acrobat swinging across the stage.

After introducing himself, Charlie Placais fell backward into a tub of water, then wrapped himself into a hanging silk for a performance that highlighted his insane upper-body strength.

Placais' performance was as well-received as the throngs of other shirtless men who've performed on the show recently, though one of the judge's reactions to it reportedly prompted outrage within the gay community.

According to The Mirror, gays were tweeting up a firestorm after the segment aired in response to judge David Walliams "pretending to be gay."

Walliams' sexuality is a running gag on the show, since he's usually the one giving rave reviews to any hunky-looking gent who walks out on stage sans shirt. Immediately following Placais' performance, judge Simon Cowell skipped over Walliams during final remarks with the implication that the audience already knew what he was going to say.

In response to the joking slight, Walliams leapt out of his seat and chased the half-naked acrobat backstage to get a hug.

"The lecherous predatory sleazebag act David Walliams does is unfunny, repugnant, insulting," one person tweeted. "It's defamatory & a bad impression for gay youth."
