Drag Queen Re-Edits Homophobic Jehovah's Witness Cartoon To Make It AWESOME

"Teacher says all that matters is that two people love each other."

Earlier this week, we reported on a disturbing animated short created by Jehovah's Witnesses aimed at indoctrinating kids with homophobic values, teaching them that gay people "can change" and must be told about Jehovah's paradise.

The chilling message sparked outrage in the LGBT community, inspiring one drag performer to edit the video for the better.

Drag queen Trixie Firecracker, who grew up in the Jehovah's Witness church, created her new edited version as a form of protest against the blatantly anti-LGBT tone of the video.

"I have re-edited their video into a Pro-LGBT one...to kill their original hateful message," she writes in the video's description.

"Homophobia is still real, still ongoing, and their original video is instilling it into children's minds."

To morph the short into an empowering statement for the LGBT community, Trixie cut out a huge section in which a young girl's mother describes how Jehovah "invented marriage" as between one man and one woman and how only by following his rules could we make it to paradise.

"It’s like going on an airplane," the mother describes. "What would happen if someone wanted to bring something on the plane that wasn’t allowed? It’s the same with Jehovah. He wants us to be his friend, and live in Paradise forever!"

Trixie skips out on the homophobic tirade and trims the original two minute video into a quick thirty second spot that suddenly becomes a lesson on love and acceptance.
