George Takei gives new Star Trek trailer the stink eye.

“It looks like a terrific action/adventure movie,” he continued (note: shade). “A lot of clinging on cliffs and getting smashed against rocks. So it should be a very successful Star Trek movie.”

Marco Rubio's America would be hell for LGBT people.

"At every turn, he has tried to make life worse for LGBT Americans. He opposed the repeal of "don't ask, don't tell." He opposed the Employment Non-Discrimination Act. Senator Rubio headlined conferences supporting reparative therapy. He even threatened to vote against his own immigration bill if it protected same-sex couples."

Church Of The Flying Spaghetti Monster can now officiate gay marriages! In New Zealand. From the Registar-General:

"In considering the matter I have referred to the Objects of the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster, reviewed material available online about this organisation and considered other organisations already able to nominate marriage celebrant. A review of media and the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster's international website show a consistent presentation of their philosophies. Three years ago I presented my personal favorite Briefs list, The 100 Greatest Lost Hits of The 80's, and because if there's one thing Hollywood has taught us, it's that sequels and reboots and remakes are ALWAYS better then the original, we're going to the well again with The 100 Greatest Lost Hits of The 80's Part 2: The Even More Forgotten

We'll be spotlighting 100 more of the greatest minor hits of the decade, the songs you don’t hear on any 80’s nostalgia show. Songs that missed the top ten, or top twenty … or top forty. Hopefully these forgotten gems may ring a long dormant bell, or for younger readers, provide a pop music history lesson.

At #45 is "Sign of The Times" by The Belle Stars.

UK girl group The Belle Stars had a huge hit in Europe with "Sign Of The Times," but that success wouldn't translate to the U.S., where it could only reach #75 in May 1983.

They would taste success in the U.S. six years later, when their remake of "Iko Iko" (which they recorded for their debut album in 1982) was resurrected for the film Rain Man, and they would have an unexpected hit, reaching #14 in March 1989.
