Billy Eichner Is Headed To Netflix For New Standup Special

Bye, Hulu.

Since Difficult People is no longer, Billy Eichner is trading Hulu for Netflix.

The Hollywood Reporter has announced that Eichner is headed to the popular streaming platform with his first stand-up comedy special that is described "as a unique blend of comedy and music that will cover politics, pop culture and may also include some brand-new editions of his signature, Emmy-nominated Billy on the Street segments."

While no other details, like filming dates or a a title, were announced, it is expected to be produced sometime this year.

Difficult People, the Hulu original series starring Julie Klausner and Eichner, was canceled last year after three seasons. The out comedian also decided to put his other TV series, Billy on the Street, on hiatus by removing it from truTV. A new home for the show has yet to be announced.

Eichner was on the last season of American Horror Story and is currently filming the live-action remake of The Lion King, where he plays Timon the meerkat.
