Not everyone was able to celebrate 4/20 last week: Adult film actor Chris Bines was sentenced to just under five years in prison for conspiracy to distribute more than 220 pounds of marijuana.

The 31-year-old Randy Blue star, whose legal name is Steven Michael Sholly, shipped the pot from California to Pensacola, Florida, then sold it with the help of seven others. More than $3.5 million in cash was laundered through bank accounts between 2014 and 2017, before being sent back to California.

Three other men were sentenced for their involvement when the case went to trial last fall: Sanford Johnson III received 151 months in prison; William Brownell was sentenced to 70 months; and Brownell's father, William Ezra, was sentenced to 20 months.

In addition to Sholly's 59-month sentence last week, the court sentenced four other men on conspiracy to distribute marijuana and conspiracy to commit money-laundering: Charles Sindylek received 90 months in prison, Brandon Remeyer was sentenced to 72 months, Andrew Marcelonis got 18 months, and David DelGiacco received just 30 days in the custody of the Bureau of Prisons.

The convictions were the result of a joint investigation involving the DEA, the IRS' criminal investigations department, numerous local police departments, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, and the Gulf Coast High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) program.

Sholly has until May 21 to surrender. After his release in 2023, he’ll be on parole for an additional three years.
