Say Hello to Billy Porter, Cinderella's Fabulous Fairy Godmother

Impossible things are happening every day!

Billy Porter has confirmed that he'll be playing Cinderella's fabulous fairy godmother in Sony's upcoming musical adaptation of Cinderella.

This past Saturday, at the 20th annual New Yorker Festival in New York City, the Pose star and veteran actor confirmed to attendees that he will star alongside pop singer Camila Cabello in the forthcoming live-action reimagining of the classic fairytale, according to Deadline.

As NewNowNext reported last week, the Tony-winning actor was in talks to join the project, which will be produced by James Corden and Leo Pearlman. (Cabello, a Fifth Harmony alum whose pop hits like "Havana" and "Senorita" have topped the charts, is also on board to help write the score, and her Cuban and Mexican roots are expected to play a part in the adaptation's modern storyline.)

Porter is also allegedly being eyed to voice Audrey II, a man-eating plant, in Warner Bros. in-progress Little Shop of Horrors musical remake, helmed by Love, Simon director Greg Berlanti.

The 50-year-old actor—who recently won his first Primetime Emmy for his portrayal of Pray Tell in the critically acclaimed FX series—also dropped another tantalizing tidbit: He signed a book deal to pen his memoir.

Oh—that's in addition to him emceeing a spoof of HRC and CNN's LGBTQ Town Hall on this weekend's Saturday Night Live. And we bibbidi-bobbidi oop!
