Sneak a Peek at Violet Chachki’s New Drag Burlesque Tour
Are you ready for a lot more Violet Chachki?
Following a sold-out European extravaganza, the RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 7 winner has announced her debut North American solo tour, A Lot More Me.
The 27-year-old drag entertainer and global fashion icon will bring her high-end brand of genderfuck-burlesque to major cities across the U.S. and Canada.
“This show is the culmination of so many years of hard work and growth,” says the pin-up princess in a statement. “I’m proud to confidently say that this is the most production value a touring solo drag artist has ever had! It combines all things Violet: drag, burlesque, fashion, circus performance and a healthy sprinkle of self-empowerment. The show is a total labor of love and I’m beyond thrilled to bring it to North America.”
Violet released her debut EP, Gagged, in 2015. In 2018 she dropped a song and video also called "A Lot More Me."
Violet, who identifies as genderqueer, made herstory in 2017 as the first drag queen to land a major women’s lingerie campaign. The Alan Turing LGBTIQ Award winner has also released Dirty Violet, a genderless fragrance.
Last year Violet was among the first drag queens to walk the red carpet at the annual Met Gala.
A Lot More Me kicks off April 21 and runs through May 31.
